Supercapacitors are a particularly interesting electrical energy storage technology where high discharge power is required. These devices are extremely interesting for many other applications, but their low energy density associated with a high cost per Wh limits its spread.
Typically, their useful life reaches and can exceed 500,000 cycles at 100% DOD (Deep Of Discharge), however at 0 Vdc voltage; the individual devices work at maximum voltages between 2.2 and 2.7 Vdc.
Serial use mostly involves a management system.
We have been working with these devices since 2005 when we presented a system to support light electric vehicles (see) in Friborg (CH), and we support any evaluation for their use, the development of a project, a prototype or any your product.
