Hydra srl was founded in 1993 by Massimo Tucci (cv) as an evolution of the individual company of 1986 from which it inherits all the experiences.
The development and design of electronic systems has been always characterizing the main activity.
The first years were characterized by the development of digital microprocessor hardware from 8 to 32 bits from CISC to RISC; from the first EPLD to more complex and innovative FPGA.
The fields of application have been industrial and special applications, from probe balls to vision systems.
Hydra already opened the website since 1996, and has integrated the offer with IT systems, networking and WEB programming.
In the early 2000s, it developed applications in the military sector to support thermal cameras and in measuring with telemetric lasers.
From 2005, when in November it presented in Friborg (CH) the “Turbo Boost for Light Electric Vehicle”, a prototype of a supercapacitor module to improve the performance and autonomy of BEV with lead batteries, electric propulsion and batteries have been the areas of primary attention.
Since 2007, it has developed its own electronic systems for control and management of lithium batteries.
It has developed projects and built lithium batteries for electric vehicles for special uses, for electric karts and racing motorcycles; among which those that led the Bettimoto Team to the win of the World Championship, and those of the prototype e-xxx, which in the latest version has a battery with very high power performance, over 5 kW/kg.
